Colorwork "Doodle" Knitting class
In this intermediate level knitting class, you decide what object you want to knit (Donna will demonstrate with a headband), what colors you want to use, and what Doodle Cards you will put together to make a unique pattern. You can make it as simple or challenging as you want by picking more or less colors of yarn to work with, and Doodle patterns to add to your creation. Donna will then walk you through the steps to create your own stranded colorwork masterpiece!

| Skill Details: | Must know the basics of knitting (casting on, knit stitch and purl stitch, binding off). No prior colorwork experience needed, but helpful to have when using Doodle Card Decks. Must bring your own deck, or purchase in-store on first day of class. |
| Requirements: | - Yarn: DK weight in at least two colors (amount of colors and yarn needed will vary depending on object made). - Knitting Needles: Size and length will depend on object made (Donna's headband uses US sizes 4 + 5, 16" long circulars). - Doodle Card Deck: you can bring your own, or buy from multiple themes available in store. - Notions: scissors, stitch markers, yarn needle for weaving in ends. - Pre-work: The first class will be about matching the Doodle Card patterns of choice with the yarns and needles you will need. You may bring what you have or buy at the store for the class at a 10% discount. |
