Building with Lace - Advanced Knitting
In this class Donna will walk you through knitting 9 different patterns and lace borders, from the 'Building With Lace' Booklet, by Michelle Hunter. The booklet is available for sale at the store ($19.99). The class will meet a total of 10 times, every-other week so you have plenty of time to work through each pattern you learn. You will be practicing many different stitches, making: baubles, cables, yarn-overs, left and right twists, SSKs, etc. So by the end of this class you will have created a wonderful sampler shawl in the yarn and color of your choice.

| Skill Details: | Must be comfortable with the basics of knitting (knit, purl, cast on, bind off) as well as other stitches (such as: yarn-overs, slipping stitches, ssk, knit 2 togethers, cables, baubles, etc.) |
| Requirements: | - Patterns: are from the Booklet "Building with Lace" (available in store for $19.99) - Yarn: DK weight or lighter (yardage: 1,260 - 1370) - Needles: US 6 (4mm) 24" long circulars (or size appropriate for yarn weight; may be smaller if using fingering or lace weight yarn) - Crochet Hook: 4mm / F used for casting on. - Notions: Cable needle, tapestry needle, removable stitch markers. - Optional Notions: Beads size 6 (approx 628 beads). Small crochet hook (0.75mm to 1mm) used for placement of beads. |
